(Fort Smith, Arkansas) June 28, 2019—Umarex USA is teaming up with outdoorsman and artist Tim “Spike” Davis to kick off its 2019 Summer Safety Campaign. The summer season is a perennially active family outdoor based recreation time in the US. Umarex will use Tim’s quirky and unique art to underscore the safe use of airguns.
On Monday, June 24th, 2019 Umarex USA began bi-weekly posting a series of 12 hand drawn Tim Davis sketches to their Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter social media feeds. These sketches highlight basic safety concerns that deal specifically with airgun owners.
Modern airguns are accurate and can be very powerful. These airguns should not be considered a toy under any circumstances. Just like firearms, airguns require safety protocols for their use. These protocols include the traditional Four Rules of Firearm Safety, but also some additional wisdom that will help airgun owners create a positive public image and, most importantly, a safe shooting environment.
Umarex USA would like to encourage our friends on social media, our corporate partners, and members of the outdoors media to join with us to spread this safety message to respect airguns across the US. Umarex USA Social Media Channels will be using the hashtag #respectairguns with all of these posts. Please join Umarex USA in this messaging campaign to foster a safe and enjoyable shooting experience and lead by example to start off this summer with #respectairguns.
