Colorado Springs, Colorado– The USA Shooting National Paralympic Team looks to add up to eight additional country quotas at the 2021 Lima World Shooting Para Sport (WSPS) World Cup June 13-18, 2021, in Lima, Peru. The World Cup is also the last chance to put athlete scores on file that will help determine the United States Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Team later this month.
USA Shooting Paralympic athletes Xiao Gong, McKenna Geer, Taylor Farmer, and JohnJoss have earned four country quotas so far with the potential for their teammates to earn more at World Cup Lima. The maximum number of quota spots for the Tokyo Paralympic Games per country is 12. Current quota spots include: one quota for P3 – Mixed 25m Pistol SH1; one quota for R3 – Mixed 10m Air Rifle Prone SH1; one quota for R4- Mixed 10m Air Rifle Standing SH2; and one quota for R6 – Mixed 50m Rifle Prone SH1.
All 11 USA Shooting National Paralympic Team Members- Jazmin Almlie, Stetson Bardfield, Taylor Farmer, McKenna Geer, Xiao Gong, John Joss, Robert Beach, Marco De La Rosa, Tricia Downing, Kevin Nguyen, and Mike Tagliapietra will attend WSPS World Cup Lima.
