New York, NY (July 30, 2019) — Alex Robinson has been named Outdoor Life’s new Editor in Chief, it was announced today by Gregory Gatto, Executive Vice President of Bonnier Media, and Joe Brown, VP and Editorial Director. His promotion to Editor in Chief is effective immediately.
“Alex has been with Outdoor Life for nine years, and has deep experience in the online, print, and social media extensions of the brand. He also has the well-earned respect and admiration of everyone in the industry, but especially from those of us who have worked with him,” Gatto says. “We couldn’t feel more confident in our decision to entrust Alex with the future of Outdoor Life.”

Of all the people we spoke with, Alex has the clearest and most exciting vision for Outdoor Life,” Brown says. “He is a thoughtful editor, an expert outdoorsman, and a great leader. Robinson joined Outdoor Life in 2010 as its Online Editor. He was promoted to Senior Online Editor in 2014 before he was promoted to Executive Editor in 2018. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota’s journalism school and resides in St. Paul, Minnesota.
