From Pyramyd Air…
Hi Airgunners –
Over the course of the last few months, many of you have reached out asking what our plans are for the 2021 Pyramyd Air Cup, which was scheduled for August 13-15th. Because there have been significant changes throughout 2021, we wanted to wait as long as possible to make a decision.
After weighing all of the factors, and taking a look at the most up-to-date safety protocols spelled out by the State of Ohio with regards to sporting events, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s event.
With the current safety guidelines in place, we wouldn’t be able to put on a safe and socially distanced event in a way that doesn’t dramatically reduce attendance, minimize vendor participation, and alter the way the competition and weekend activities are run. We understand that conditions may improve over the course of the summer, however it takes many months to organize and coordinate the event, and having to account for ever-changing guidelines during our planning process isn’t a feasible option. Plus, the possibility of the event still having to be called off at a later point if the situation gets worse, leaves too much uncertainty to move forward with our efforts.
Although we are disappointed in not being able to put on the Pyramyd Air Cup this year, we look forward to making 2022’s event the fun and exciting competition you’ve grown to love. We can’t wait to get “back in the saddle” in 2022!
To make lemonade out of lemons for this year, Pyramyd Air will donate money that was earmarked for the competition to various shooting, youth and veterans groups. We look forward to supporting some worthy causes, which we’ll announce soon…stay tuned!
We wish you all a safe and happy summer.
Thanks Again!
Pyramyd Air Team
